About Our Organisation and International House

Living Languages International is part of the WELS group of International House Schools. We are affiliated to the London based International House World Organisation (IHWO), an educational trust established in 1953 with over 120 schools in 27 countries. The International House World organisation is dedicated to fostering international understanding through education. Well known for its pioneering work in the development of teacher training courses for language teachers, International House has a reputation in the language teaching second to none.

Our Clients

Our courses attract students of all ages from all over the world.

The majority of students following language courses abroad are aged between 17 and 28. Our schools also host students between the ages of 30 and 50. Many of these are business people who need to maintain their language levels for both professional or leisure purposes.

For those students over fifty who prefer to study with others of their own age group we offer specialist courses combining language study at a relaxed pace combined with a programme of cultural activities and excursions.

We also cater for the younger student aged 12-16 with special programmes of language and social and sporting activities in the summer.

Our professional teacher training courses for language teachers are a popular choice with recent graduates who can combine this with an optional language study programme.

Our Partner Schools

We offer French in Nice, Italian in Rome, Milan and the Cinqueterre, Spanish in Barcelona, Seville, Havana or Mexico and German in Freiburg to name but a few. All our schools are accredited and most belong to the worldwide organisation, International House. Thanks to experienced mother tongue teachers trained in modern communicative methods you will be speaking your chosen language from the first lesson. A full, social programme is available so you can enjoy your leisure time with like-minded people from all over the world. Optional culture courses such as cookery, wine appreciation, film, archaeology, photography, or flamenco dancing can be incorporated into the course.
